For Brass and Percussion Instruments • 19–23 April 2026 • Linz, Austria
The European Brass Band Association (EBBA) is excited to announce the 10th European Soloist Competition for Brass and Percussion Instruments, taking place from 19 to 23 April 2026 in Linz, Austria.
The competition will be held in conjunction with the 47th European Brass Band Championships, in association with World of Brass.
Competition Format
Preliminary Round
A maximum of 20 applicants will be selected from video submissions.

First Round – 20 April 2026
Selected competitors perform a piece of their choice.
Second Round – 21 April 2026
The jury selects 8 competitors to advance.
Grand Final – 23 April 2026
The 3 finalists perform a concerto or extended concert piece, accompanied by a Championship Section brass band, chosen by the EBBA Music Commission.
